Just picked up my 200th issue of EDGE from the mailbox. It looks as stunning as always with the back cover page showing 200 different cover designs.
You can see the gallery of all covers here and here are some wallpapers.
Someone in the comments actually expressed their disappointment. Apparently all 200 covers are too generic and use concept art available to the public (oh no, Edge, where is your designer flair?!). It seems some people don't realise how many resources it takes for a magazine to do something like this (especially, for a niche magazine such as Edge which mostly lives off subscriptions). Special edition Street Fighter 4 issue with 5 covers was impressive alone but two hundred different cover designs in times of a heavy depression... Thank you, Edge, I don't know how you guys stay in business but you made my day! Let the positive energy flow!
P.S. The issue is great too. Interview with Trip Hawkins (founder of EA and 3DO), "Lore Enforcement" - article about Blizzard anti-bot attitude and their latest Warden software, 100 Best Games To Play Today and The Making of PlayStation.
P.S. 2 I got the LittleBitPlanet cover. :) Now what if there is some sort of hidden meaning behind the cover you get? :)
